1. never ever go to school on saturdays again, because even the pengetua doesnt want you there.

i went becuz of sjam marching. well all of the marchers had to go, even the scouts and etcetc.
then after marching, (those who were NOT involved in marching actually didnt come to school. ) teachers didnt teach because the marchers in my class are like.. only a few of us. (4 sjam, 1 scout, 1 police cadet, 1 rumah biru..) the others who did actually come wasted their time and were plain bored.

actually i went becuz of the timetable.
you know there's this fan page on fb about having one death timetable in a week.
our death timetable is friday's timetable.
chem, physics, bio, mod maths. (and BM - one period only)
imagine if BM was replaced with addmaths.
timetable would be even more deathly.

on fridays 4 keledang flies from lab to lab.

but yesterday, barely anyone came so the teachers didnt teach.
in other words, i only went for the marching.

(oh oh, MGsquareIH rawks xD )

2. they're all gone.
they'll be back tomorrow, but they're gone now.
and i'm alone now :(

what a feast i am missing.

3. have 4 projects/assignments. waiting on my list. actually i've finished 2 already.

4. this week's school has not been as mad as the previous weeks.

First we'll start on tuesday. that was the maddest day i ever had in my whole life.
in class.
firstly.
i have been treasurer for two years in a row already. it's a tedious job, chasing people for money. so this year, i decided that i wanted a different job, so i became ketua keceriaan.
screw it.
they (some classmates) don't do their job (finding articles, and only one each. even just photostating a page for the textbook would do), but yeah i guess it's too hard for them, so the back board is empty, melissa and i get screwed by pn zaiton, then i chase them again, but some of them still don't wanna do simple jobs, so i have to do THEIR jobs.
like, ahem, i have my own jobs, i.e. had to divide all the work, do the background and borders for both boards (with the help of Mel, Huey Ni, Nizam, Kah Shen and Kai june, Mark, Danial etc., thankfully. )
do thesse uncooporative ~~idiots~~ classmates think i have no life or something?

but anyways, tis the law for me.

then, (yes, i'm not finished yet)
library duty.
since the umm.. MOE? authorities? i dont know exactly which one.
chose our school to rakam and take photos, tentulah we must finish all the deco, kan?
so during library duty, there i was with mei xuan and others, decorating the board.
realllyyy long story.
at 4.20 we did some "training" for merentas desa O.o
4.30 did all the cutting with the help of other librarians, and by 4.55 the border for the library's board (inside) was finished.
in record time.
amazing, isnt it?

thank God.

but, i'm not finished yet.
got home, had a shower, then it was time to work on my violin.
(standing, not sitting) for 2 hours plus. well at least this part was.. kind of enjoyable.
i suck.

then met up with my "cuzzie" Joch for late dinner. :D i think this was the only part that really made my day.
then got home again to do my homework (~~tons~~ ~~kilograms~~ 999 grams of homework) then had to go online to search for articles (doing other people's job) (photostating shop already closed by that time)

slept past 12.

next day. was as crazy as tuesday, though maybe in a different manner.
highlights were (once again,) people didnt go find their articles. (not all, but some), sjam conflict (it got really personal. whew. and i was like the witness.) marching (ooh tiring.) and got home, spent one hour plus arranging for rehearsal/place for rehearsal (my house is so junkyard), then 1 and a half hours of violin, then homework. then i slept at.. i forgot. 11 something i guess.

doesnt sound that bad here, but boy was i exhausted.

if it were not for the grace of God, i'd have collapsed already.

very thankfully, thursday was not as crazy. still crazy, but not too bad. managed to take a nap in the afternoon.

skipped school for a violin masterclass with Yossif Ivanov. he's only umm.. 23? i
dont think he's really famous yet cuz he's not in wikipedia. (okay i dont know why i judge this way, but i hope you get what i mean) but he is gonna get famous, seriously.

and he has this cool Belgian accent. well i think it's belgian. or german. or russian i dont know.

i was really excited. remembering the last masterclass i had. (with James Ehnes, i blogged about it too, in NOV 2008)

i was privileged.
really short notice was given, the masterclass.
so it was really hard to find an accompanist.
thankfully my teacher found one.

i played Henri Wieniawski's Scherzo-Tarantella.

but i'm really not used to playing with the piano part, my counting was really off, spiccato didnt really work (always works at home, wonder why i stiffen up when others are watching)

life goes on as usual.
nothing unusual that happened this week. (yet)

of course the spiritual experiences every week are different and unusual, but here's not the place to put it.

only thing this week is that the internet connection is getting on my nerves.
so slow.
and it keeps disconnecting itself.

can you imagine?
like, for example, you're on fb writing on someone's wall.

after typing a huge load of crap, you post it.

it loads.

till finally,
"you're internet connection something something has gone out of sync. please try again."

so i'm uber-happy that PMR is finally over.
thank God for granting me grace to endure this past....i-dont-know-how-long period of exams.

i cant really believe PMR is over.

in fact, i cant believe that it already started either.

they're/we're so proud of it that we show it off to the invigilators before entering the bilik peperiksaan everytime.
and somehow, the invigilators never get bored of it.
hmm...how interesting.

Bahasa Melayu
the subject i don't like the most, which is why it's my weakest. really.
all started in primary school. (sjk, remember?) then in secondary school, the highest i ever got for BM is 72. i think good teachers are important too. Cik Ahnie in form 1 was good.
Pn Izzlina? gimme a break. you gotta be kidding. i'd get a D for BM
Pn Tan GT can get me a B. (so thankful i didnt get Zaiton. except for the time when pn tan sabotaged us. gah.)
work work work

English
i'm english ed. i was brought up speaking, reading and writing in english.

Science
Got the hang of it since std 6. it got even easier when i came to form1 where science is in english, not chinese. just teeny bits here and there to touch up.

Math-her-mad-ticks
i love math :) but, lesson learnt:
do not sacrifice any more than 5 periods of maths for koko activities.
it'll take weeks to catch up after that.
oh and, pn Teh is cute.

Geography
Pn Pang, Pn Tan WS and Pn Phua are really good teachers. moreover, in geography they always repeat the questions. i think i kinda like geography because of the nice teachers :D

History (sejarah)
bleh. at first i thought it was cool, nut oooohh nooo, they had to make it messy. sultans here, sultans there. all having the same names. just add some 1234s. and one day you're in a state, another day in another state, and the next day go back to the first state. why cant you just learn all of one state at a go, then only proceed to the next state?
and how would i know if those facts in our textbooks aren't distorted?
i really prefer f3 sejarah over f1 and 2. or maybe it's because pn Shanthi's method of teaching is extremely effective. not saying that the other teachers are bad, but you get what i mean)

Living skills (KH)
in KT. i dont know why i just love this subject. one reason is because i got pn Rosniza in f1 (not pn norakmal) pN kang in f2 (not pn hazirah) and pn Ng in f3!!

had teacher's day celebrations.

first, the performances. (well they weren't the first, but i think they were more entertaining than the others.
from whatever i remember.

then there were plays, some singing, afternoon session prefects, and the tap dancing by Cassanra!
Pn Ng was really sporting when she went up to receive the prize for "Most Humorous Teacher". then later she was wakil for "most strict teacher"

BM-Pn Tan GT: okay, but tends to "slightly" lose her temper when the class doesnt give the answer she wants

BI-Pn Irene: sarcastic and funny. i have a feeling she likes our class cos she likes to gossip about 3 cemp and tells us about her family. like, her sons, pepper spray etc....

Math-Pn Teh: cute.

Science-Pn Khoo: another teacher that has favour for 3ang

Sejarah-Pn Shanthi: i think she's really good cuz she makes us go back and read, then before she teaches she asks us what we read, and when she sums everything up she expects us to give the words to her. so i remember my history. ta-daa.

Geography-Pn Phua: okay.

KHB,KT-Pn Ng LC: at first i thought she was strict but funny and nice. but now i agree with the form 4s. one day she got really violent (with those big eyes) when wei jian couldnt stop chatting with nischal.

sivik-Pn Zohriah (only after the changing of timetables): i want Pn Chan back.

seni-en.Megat: =.=" good thing he's only teaching seni, an insignificant-ish subject (for me)

yeah we all had fun.
we did our best (as according to g. Ling, i havent watched the recording yet)

we were crazy enough to do the whole formation again in DK court. (as in, during the party, after sports day was over) . that was crazy.

i recovered from a fever (38.5degreecelsius) on thursday. night-ish, that's why i wasnt present in school.

me parents say i'm too dehydrated, and blamed it on the marching practise on monday from 11-1 under the hot sun.
though seniors belanja-ed us iced tea (omgosh that, was so a source of semangat together with the rock candies supplied by Rui Min ^^)

my feet arent killing me, as how other people would put it.
in fact i think it's the other way round.

dont you just know that feeling, when..umm...
your feet don't hurt/feel tired when you're marching, but after sitting down for about 15 minutes, and then you get up, and then you feel like you just stepped on glass or something.

my soles hurt.

oh and also, i think Manoj pumped us for the first time today.
before that it was always the form 5 seniors who pumped us.
(i'm not complaining, i'm NOT complaining, don't get me wrong, the seniors are nice, i'm just stating a fact)
i'm not sure what that signifies....but..

i ruined one.
chill man, it was the old one...maybe older than me..came with me's antique.
anyway, i was doing me shifts, and ze coating was coming off.
and the string looked like it was gonna twang.
so i did a little experiment.

i took da string out and rubbed off every layer of coating. (only 2 layers, i guess)
and found that inside it, is string.
(say, ooooh, ahhh.)
oh well.

and i was also curious how they held that ball-shaped thing,
so...
and it is , again, held there by the same string and metal coating
heh.
and with the help of a pair of scissors,

lol.

the teachers are like, "pmr is fun. you have to know how to enjoy yourself".

"pfftughpp NO it's not, and how do you expect me to enjoy myself with so much homework and less than 5 hours of sleep everyday?!"

my brain is tired.
but class is better than last year, firstly, because the teachers are better and more experienced.
(well, so far so good. dont know what's coming up)
secondly, they messed the whole streaming thing and i dont know how i ended up in Anggerik. according to pn Kang, it's the second class. obviously i'm undeserving.
everyone is like.....serious. homework. pay attention in class. time to be nerd. because i want 7 A's in pmr. if i dont get 7A's then i will start murdering hamsters.
the ambience is so quiet even when the teachers aren't teaching.
because everyone is either doing homework or studying.
(or sleeping, i don't know)

well, i guess that's what they mean when they say "study hard, play hard."

oh c'mon it's only January...
(and then in September, "oh c'mon pmr is only one month away...wont die wan lah")
NOPE.
NO TIME TO SLACK.

so i am kind of infected with their pmr mode.

pity the other half of kenanga went to Dahlia. sigh. well my clan is in anggerik, so i'm contented.
but then again, class isnt funny without the notti people.

and then there's still one hour reserved everyday for violin practise.

back from Camerons (18days), KB and Johor Bharu(2days1night)
not gonna do any elaboration on KB trip

1. cam highlands was fantastic.
wanna know why?
refer to Psalm 133 and you'll know. *grins*
i thoroughly enjoyed everything.

though there was a lot of sleeping late and getting up early, it was really fun.
and i think i gained 1 kg. i think i also got a bit....fairer.
(no worries, i'd probably get the tan back when i go back to school and get really exposed to the sun)
also, my skin is really dry now. so dry, it looks like i have a pathetic case of eczema.
but the really dry skin is only on my arms and legs. and not on my face. weird.

other than a lot of meetings and spiritual beef steaks to chew,
also went for jungle trekking. (a minor one)
and caroling. (we edited some of the lyrics)

a lot lah.

too much to put here.

2. JB house for watchnight.
i tell you, when we say watchnight, we really mean watch-the-night.
31 dec to 1 jan, i did not sleep at all. what an experience.

oh and i am about 18 hours behind my sleep.

and i'm walking around with Garfield eyes.

okay anyways, my first time walking a dog.

ah. on friday, i turned 14.
and then on the 29th, i went up to camerons!!
had a great time.
then came down again on 30th.
you could say this was my best bday ever!
that's why i couldnt update until today.

never use digital microwave ovens.
never bake in big bulks unless there are many people around heping.
never take your eyes off the friggin digital microwave oven if you're baking.
never overcook your food in the microwave oven.
never bake muffins/cakes that contain a high amount of sugar and fat.
never leave the things on top of the oven when baking with high heat.
always have rubber gloves and a towel within reach.
after cooking/reheating oily foods, wipe up all the oil splatters inside the oven.
if any food may ignite in the oven, do NOT open the oven door, switch the main off.
if possible, use a MANUAL fan-forced oven. it's healthier and safer.

hmm.
yesterday i was baking pillsbury's lemon moist supreme cake.
so i put the cake in the fan forced oven. that took about 35 minutes.
that was only half of the mix.
so, for the other half, i baked muffins.
in the digital microwave oven.
the first round came out perfectly, only took 15 minutes.

the second round was the big problem.

so i sat in the dining, (not the kitchen).
after about 5 minutes or so, i smelt something burning.
glanced into the kitchen and saw smoke.
looked at the blardy digital microwave oven
there they were, my muffins.

on fire.

amidst the smoke, i could see the muffins IN the oven, on fire.
fire in the oven.
muffins on fire in the oven.
smoke.
so i switched the flamin thing off,
and thank God my mum was at home.
thank God for science.
combustion needs oxygen.
the microwave oven is kinda sealed, so soon it'd run out of oxygen.
and stop burning.

thank GOD i didnt open the oven door.
because if i did, the fire would have got bigger....
and spread.......

so the fire died of itself in the oven.

and when my mum opened the oven door (when everything was safe)
oooh the smoke was bleh cough cough.

a lump of black ashes on the plate.

what a nightmare. (or, daymare)

i'm still alive.

the concert was scary.
though it was my 2nd appearance on MPO stage, stage frights could occur..
it was almost a full hall, and even the box seats were filled.
well i didnt dare to look at the crowd, and my legs started shaking.
well thank God my arms/fingers didnt shake..

i didnt see Wei Wen.. (you know you could have waited outside the hall after the concert like everyone else did)
but i saw Grace Lam. didnt know what was going on.

and then after that the performers got free sandwiches and salad thingies from O'Briens!
i didnt dare to eat at first, so expensive...
and all that sophisticated rich people who drive around in Rolce Royces..
but the sandwich was delicious.

hope i get the recording of me playing.
my last note was a disaster.
i couldnt vibrate properly because my fingers were..wobbling and i almost lost control of my bow. it was horrible i tell you...
horrible.
sigh.

now, i am a free bird.

well if only i didnt have a pharoah and i could have a magic carpet..

yeps, the masterclass was really good.

Materials needed: red ink, cotton pad, pva glue, toothpick, cotton wool, dishwasher pad.
if you don't have red ink, you can use animal blood.
1. use the pva glue to create the wound surrounding
2. wait for the glue to dry
3. use a toothpick to create the wound area
4. use the dishwasher pad to spread the extra glue
5. put a little drop of red ink on the cotton wool and wipe it on the surroundings to create the outer, scratched area
6. use the cotton pad with red ink (but not too much) to strengthen the surrounding scratched area
7. let it dry.
8. use the toothpick again to spread the glue again. this creates the broken skin
9. here comes the gory part. add the red ink.make sure the read ink is uneven, then the "wound" will look more realistic.
10. wait for it to dry. you can use the cotton wool to do the finishing touches
11. the gory result.

to tell you the truth, i wouldnt mind paying the beggar a dollar or 2 for his creativity.
